Our History

Thomasville’s Annual Victorian Christmas event was originally founded by

downtown merchants in 1986 to promote local shopping and dining during the holidays.

The “Victorian” theme was the perfect fit for the Southern city as Thomasville

boasts an array of Victorian style homes and downtown buildings

and is filled with historic architecture that lends character and charm.

What initially began as an innovative marketing initiative has since transformed

into a beloved event that locals and visitors look forward to attending annually.

Victorian Christmas now welcomes over 30,000 attendees every year!
