Robinson Crusoe, pirates, tales of lost Spanish galleons– shipwrecks have left a lasting mark on our imagination. Thomasville Landmarks is pleased to have Ivor Mollema, senior archaeologist for Florida's Division of Historic Resources, speak on the recently unearthed Dog Island shipwrecks and the methods used to preserve underwater resources. This event is free to Thomasville Landmarks members and to Thomasville History center members. pre-registration is requested.
