Most people view the armadillo as a thorn in their side. They dig holes in your yard and uproot your prized plants. But the armadillo is much more than an annoying critter and Dr. Colleen McDonough can attest to that. Join us at the library as we welcome Dr. Colleen McDonough, biology professor at Valdosta State University and leading expert of the armadillo. Dr. McDonough has been studying the armadillo since 1991, traveling as far as Brazil and deeper, in research of these intriguing critters. She will be sharing her studies and extensive knowledge of the armadillo as well as speaking about her current research on the nine-banded armadillo. Held in the Henry Flipper Room.
