Lori’s current fiber and beadwork jewelry represent a culmination of over 50 years’ experience in several creative disciplines. Having grown up in New Orleans she has always had an appreciation for vintage Lux Bohemian style art and jewelry. Lori wanted to keep her roots in these styles while also creating a new, classy look for her one-of-a-kind pieces. She chooses the best tools and materials to justify the time and creativity she devotes to each piece. Her steadfast intention is toward technical excellence and the highest quality of workmanship. Lori’s fiber art includes sewing, knitting, felting and leatherwork. The bead weaving and bead embroidery are either traditional or contemporary and include 3D (boxes, vessels) as well as jewelry (cuffs, pendants, earrings). She uses premier glass or gemstone beads, artisan or gemstone cabochons and components, quality leather, and natural objects (shell, stones) and vintage or ethnic beads. What is most important to her is that she can help others feel beautiful by creating exquisite and unique pieces to complement their personality and energy.
