3rd Annual Thomasville Clay Road Classic (25 miles, 50 miles, 70 miles, 100 miles) SAVE THE DATE: February 20, 2021 We have the motivation, the resources, and now the space! So we are going to have a revised Clay Road Classic. Please join us February 20th, 2021 in beautiful downtown Thomasville. This will be a one day event that will start from our new location at 209 W Remington Ave and we'll use the new expanded shop, patios, and huge yard to hold registration, breakfast, staggered ride starts, lunch, and live music. Immerse yourself in a true gravel experience. The ride is a self-supported endurance gravel road event that takes you through some of the most beautiful clay roads in the country - maybe even the world! Thomasville is home to over 300 miles of clay roads in the interconnecting Red Hills Region that covers over 300,000 acres. You will need a phone with a "Ride With GPS" type app or a GPS device to navigate the route properly. There will be no markings or directions on the route. Revel in the complete gravel adventure at your own pace whether it be race pace, party pace, or a site seeing social pace (though recognition will be given to the fastest finishers). Enjoy a clay road ride, hang out for some good food, craft beer and live music -All In One Place- Historic Downtown Thomasville! The Event includes: SATURDAY- Breakfast, the Thomasville Clay Road Classic ride, a hot lunch (11:30a-2:30p) with 2 refreshment tickets, as well as live music featuring Blue Burden from 1-4 PM, giveaways, and recognition of the top male and female for each distance. Event Details: Registration caps at 200 riders, so sign up early! All participants who signed up for the postponed March 2020 event will automatically be registered for this event!!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION: 1) There are restrooms at the start/finish and gas stations along the 75 and 100 mile routes. That's it. Plan accordingly. 2) There will be no planned "rest areas or water stops". You must be self supported. 3) You agree to the Clay Road Classic Terms and Conditions as well as a COVID waiver at the event. 4) You are fully responsible for your own wellbeing. 5) COVID-19 Social distancing is suggested. Please follow all local social distancing guidelines during the event. Masks required while on property unless you are seated. 6) CDC Covid guidelines will be followed. Meals will be served with plenty of outside seating available at our new location as well as the old location and the amphitheater. 7 private restrooms and 2 community public restrooms will be available. 7) Packet pick-up will be open from 6:00-9:30am at 3 locations on the amphitheater to maintain social distancing. Get your Bib numbers, T-shirts, and waivers at one of the registration locations. Hand sanitizer and masks will be available at each location. Please wear a mask.
