Take your paintings to the next level through this three-day workshop with, artist/instructor, Steven S. Walker. Participants will learn how to capture light and how to achieve captivating glows within their paintings while using photographs of their choice as reference. Many of the basic elements of design such as color, composition and depth will be explored along with a discussion pertaining to observation and photographing for reference. A primary focus during the workshop will be to gain a fundamental understanding of painting materials, techniques and studio practices to make your painting process easier and more successful. Each day will include a demonstration at the beginning of class. This workshop is open to all levels. Each student will receive individual attention catered to his or her skill level. The class will start at 9 AM at the Pines & Palm’s La Cubana Art Space on the Vashti Campus, 1815 Clay Street and end at 5 PM.
